6th Annual Bulgarian Cultural Festival - St.Kiril & Methody

The Festival actually starts at 2:30 with dance and music workshops, and a special workshop for children. There will also be a slide show about the 2005 Koprivshtica festival.
Live music starts at 6 - many bands featured aside from Edessa; Nestinari, Zaedno, Top Dog Run, Verna Drujina, Dalmacijo choir, and more.

Performing at this camp gives us the chance to hone our chops and arrangements for a whole week, not to mention listen and dance to many, many heavyweight musicians from the Balkans and Turkey. A great way to gain inspiration from other bands.

Razzmatazz Dance Camp

We love playing this camp because of its relaxed atmosphere, wonderful community feeling, delicious food, and the beautiful Redwoods. Plus, we get the chance to practice all day long in our rustic cabin with no electricity. This camp has also exposed us to some wonderful musicians including an accordionist from Sardinia, as well as friends who play Cajun and Scandinavian music.

This Bulgarian holiday celebrates art and culture and honors St. Kiril and St. Metody, monks who invented the Cyrillic alphabet and translated the Bible into the Slavonic language. We shared the stage with Kitka (www.kitka.org) , the Bebelekov Family, Rumen Shopov, Trio Mopmu and others. Large Bulgarian turnout!

We have always enjoyed playing at this festival, which is a benefit for Voice of Roma, which helps out the Roma people of Kosovo: idyllic spring days, delicious food, a wonderful celebratory atmosphere and a lineup of exciting Balkan and Romani bands.
